The last few weeks have been a whirlwind. Let’s recap, shall we?

• Promotion at work has kept me busy busy.
• Applied to and accepted into an MBA program. First class is Sept. 3.
• Us and many other Americans penalized by choosing affordable housing coupled with rational, conservative mortgage. (For more info, Google ‘housing bill’ or ‘housing relief bill’).
• Rode out some heat waves. Not having central AC kinda sucks.
• Read several great books, including Blink, The Kite Runner, The Tipping Point, The Omnivore’s Dilemma.
• Realized I have a mental block about how to spell the word dilemma.
• Also have a mental block against the name of a hotel in Malvern called the Desmond. For whatever reason (*cough* Swingers *cough*), I always want to call it the Dresden.
• Cut down on who I follow on Twitter to increase the signal/noise ratio (or lower the noise/signal ratio).
• Rewatched all of season 2 of 30 Rock on Hulu.
• Started watching The Wire.
• Tried and failed to develop justification for buying iPhone.
• Planned a 4 day beach (a/k/a “shore”) getaway for mid October. Wonder how much tan base I can lay on before then by just lying on the deck here at the house. Probably not much.
• Had to switch to Windows 2008 on my iMac at work because Fusion+Outlook was driving me INSANE.
• Had a dental cleaning where the hygienist complimented me on how little plaque I’d accumulated. The electric toothbrush most of the credit, though I’ve developed flossing as a habit (FINALLY).
