My world is starting to right itself, technology-wise.

A brand new TiVo arrived Wednesday to replace the broken one I wrote about previously. I hooked it up, taught the Comcast rep how to pair up a CableCARD to a new host (*without* sending a guy to my house to read numbers off of my screen to a guy back at his office), and started setting up my Season Passes again. It’s still running an 8.x software version, so I’m a little concerned once it upgrades itself to 9.3a, the version that seemed to cause the first meltdown.

Received notification late yesterday that my broken XBOX has been repaired and is en route back to me. In order to celebrate, I bought Grand Theft Auto IV… Amazon plans to have it in my hands on Tuesday. I’m a little concerned about the damage such a violent video game will do to my fragile mind, so if my posts here start to take on an angry or violent tone, please stage an intervention.
