As the whining about my recent periodontal procedure tapers off, I need to find something else health-related to bitch about, right? Fortunately, my body decided to offer up a painful ear ache.
So now my left ear is the new thing for me to obsess about. Well, I can’t say for 100% that it’s my ear. One working theory I have: because of my graft, I’ve had to chew exclusively with the left side of my mouth; this has stepped up the amount of work my jaw muscle has performed; that muscle is behind my left ear (I think?). But I’m not super confident in that theory. I think there’s something up with my ear itself and not nearby muscles or sinuses. I need a doctor to use one of those funnel ear light things to snoop around inside there.
Another theory is that a spider laid eggs in my ear. I try to ignore that possibility.
You know, my insurance claim record would probably raise alarms somewhere. I didn’t go to the doctor for like 15 years straight, and now in the last 2 years or so it’s been rather frequent. I’m thinking the bacon milkshakes for breakfast every morning weren’t such a hot idea after all.
