Blood results are back from my physical. I compared the numbers with those at American Heart Association web site.
Total: 160 (<200 is good)
Triglycerides: 88 (<150 is good)
LDL (bad cholestrol): 105 (near optimal/above optimal)
HDL (good cholesterol): 37 (higher is better for this one; should be above 45 for my age)
This is good news; we’ve been conscious of cutting down on our fat intake. The nurse said I should look to raise the HDL level some through exercise. That’s something that should become easier as warmer weather approaches and I take the bicycle out of storage.
