Did anyone within the sound of my voice here do any shopping of any kind on Black Friday? Brick & mortar or online? What was your experience?

For the record: I bought nothing today, though I was hoping on being able to buy this camera at a reduced price from Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000LO92EK?pf_rd…

I bought $12 worth of Chinese food last night.
Ah, but unless you woke up at 4am or pushed someone over to get it, it doesn't count as Black Friday shopping. Still… I could go for some Mongolian Beef.
The last time I went shopping on Black Friday, my mother went with me. So think about that — when was she able to do that? It was probably 1990. Learned my lesson. No deal is worth it.
I shopped at Lowes — 2 gallons of paint and some brushes, etc. About noon. Looked like an average weekend. Then I returned yesterday (Sat.) for some lumber, etc. (just your usual Holiday shopping, right?) and talked with the helper in the lumber department while waiting to get some wood cut. The guy said their store had the biggest day in the division on Friday — over $400K in sales. I asked what was moving. Lots of power tools.
You couldn't f*cking pay me to go within 5 miles of a mall on Black Friday! I went to Mall at Millenia about 2 weeks ago and it sealed the deal for me on why I now do the vast majority of my shopping online.
