UCF InPrint mockup

Written By: brian - Oct• 22•07

I’ve mentioned this before… but in 1994, me and a few others started a school newspaper at UCF called UCF InPrint.

Before we went to press with the first issue in Fall of 1994, we did a mock up in my apartment, playing around with look & feel until we found something we were happy with.

I was looking through a box of old stuff tonight and came across that mock up. I think only 6 or 7 people have seen this.

Obviously you’ll want to click on each and then choose ‘All Sizes’.

You know, we could’ve put the standard ‘loren ipso’ filler in there, but what’s there instead isn’t half bad, actually…

I remember this paper. I read it quite regularly. Of the two, and to be honest I don’t even recall the other paper’s name, In Print was the one I always grabbed. I specifically recall always reading the opinion reporter’s stuff…I don’t remember his name though. He was a bit “edgy” if my memory serves me correctly. Was his last name Costello or something like that?

A classic! But I don’t get the joke in the Calendar of Events. Too subtle for me.

Dede- you might be reading too much into it. I think it’s a real calendar of events for that summer, except maybe the Jane Goodall part.

Gee, how unlike me to try to read into something that’s not there! (wink) The bylines crack me up — Dave Foley, etc.
